“Although we had decided that we wanted to have a baby together in the future, we didn’t expect it to happen quite so quickly. We found out on New Years Eve 2019 that I was pregnant, which drastically changed our plans.
At first, we were nervous to tell Lily that she was going to be a big sister, although when we did she burst into tears of happiness. Both of the girls are absolutely besotted with their new baby sister.
My pregnancy was quite a tricky one, with severe morning sickness into the second trimester, a job loss due to COVID-19 and Gestational Diabetes along with other pregnancy-related health complications.
My labour was induced 2 weeks early, at exactly 38 weeks. Cameron Olivia Hilly Wood arrived earthside on Friday 21 August at 8.09 pm by emergency C-Section after 12 hours labouring, an hour and a half pushing and 2 attempts to get her out with the suction cup.”
