This video is my latest wrapping tutorial.
By using these 3-way wrapping techniques, you will be able to get a really good posing workflow with a minimum movement for the baby and with loads of images from the session, plus you will keep the baby sleepy and calm for your entire session.
My first wrap is called ” round, round and about wrap” or the “@wrap”. The baby’s fingers have placed a finger over a finger and under his chin. Once you get this wrap you can cover the baby’s legs so you prepare the baby’s body for the second wrap. Use a stretchy 1.4 m or longer wrap.
The second wrap used is the “criss-cross wrap” or “x wrap”: you just need to make a criss-cross or x figure over the baby’s chest. You can do this criss-cross move as much as you want or as long as the wrap allows you. I recommend using stretchy wraps.
The third and final wrap is called the “infinity wrap” or “& wrap”: it is used as a decor piece and I always use my extra-long cheesecloth wraps from QueenOfWrapsAndFabrics
Once you have done all 3 wraps, you can start to pose the baby as follows:
1. Baby wrapped with the infinity wrap technique and posed on the flokati rug in the “potato pose”
2. baby wrapped in the criss-cross wrap and posed in a prop
3. baby wrapped in the round, round and about the wrap and posed on the bean bag or in a prop.
In short, you start wrapping with wraps 1, 2 and 3, but you start your posing workflow by posing the baby with the wraps 3, 2, and 1 so that then you can go to naked shoots.
