Newborn photography session with Asa in my Brisbane home studio, a cubby and cute baby boy!
When I talked with his Julia about Asa’s newborn photography sessions I found out that he was just over a month old. Looking at his picture I could see that he was super cute and he had lots of hair. So I couldn’t have waited for more to have this baby in the studio ….and he didn’t disappoint at all.
A little introduction on how I ran Asa’s photography session!
When they arrived, Asa was awake and decided to start his photography session with awake set-ups. Connor, Asa’s dad, was helping me set up with his hardworking hands.
Can you see his big doll eyes and a happy face? Once we stopped for a feed and wrapped like a potato, he fell asleep and the entire session was just a gasp of excitement: oh my look at his rolls, oh my his gentle breath, his wild strawberry hair….yeah, too cute to handle :)…
I will let his images do the talking. But before I do that, I have asked mum to tell us a few words about Asa’s birth and what she wants for him in life. Her answers, I believe, are answers that any mum would give.
From mum to Asa
” After 54-hour labour on a beautiful Monday at 20 minutes past 8, Asa was welcomed into the world.
I can honestly say that the moment Asa was put onto my chest the whole world stopped. With a head full of hair, big doll eyes and the most perfect button nose, I felt a love I have never felt before. As soon as I looked into those big eyes I knew exactly what I wanted to teach him to guide him through his time on this earth.
Firstly I want to teach him to love his mother. You can tell a lot about a person by the way they treat their mother. I feel as though if you love and respect your mother that it also has a ripple effect to others around you.
Secondly, I want to teach my son to love his Mother Earth. You are only given one planet. You are made up of the same dust as the mountains and you breathe the same air that butterflies migrate in. Love your Mother Earth and she will love you in return.
I know as I teach these attributes to Asa that everything else will just fall into place.
I dream that he will have a beautiful life that is filled with love and happiness.”
What beautiful words and wishes. I know that Asa will be very loved and will become a great man with love for his mum, people and nature…he has a great example.
I will also love the leave one more sentence from Julia about Asa’s images from the session: “Wow! Thank you so much. These photos are just Devine!!!!!”
